Pedagogy Center (CPTAD)

The Center of Pedagogy Training and Academic Development (CPTAD) at Qaiwan International University was established by official order of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on December 13, 2023. Since then, the center has offered pedagogy training courses to applicants holding postgraduate degrees across diverse disciplines.

Vision

As an officially recognized center, our vision is to become a leading provider of innovative and effective pedagogy courses across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, advancing educators’ understanding of how students learn through the latest teaching methodologies. We also facilitate professional growth by enabling collaboration among course participants within their academic interests, fostering joint scholarly activities and research.

Recent Activity

  • Round Five of CPTAD pedagogy courses has commenced with tens of postgraduate degree holders across diverse disciplines. Two out of six modules have been completed; graduation for this cohort is expected by early March 2026.
  • Applications are open for Round Six of CPTAD’s pedagogy course, expected to begin by the end of November 2025.
