Computer Lab. Assistant

Job Vacancy: Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science- Laboratory Assistant

Job Description: 

Assist in daily management of university computer laboratories. Provide technical support for staff and students, maintain hardware/software, ensure smooth operation of IT equipment, and support teaching activities in the labs, enforces lab policies, and escalates issues to IT Services as needed.

Requirements Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field).

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

• Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability.

• Ability to support faculty, staff, and students in the use of computer labs, equipment, and software.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

   

Desirable

• Prior experience in IT support, computer lab assistance, or related technical roles.

• Knowledge of networking, hardware troubleshooting, and software installation/maintenance.

• Familiarity with academic IT systems, e-learning platforms, or laboratory management tools.

• Ability to train or guide students in the use of computer lab resources.

• Multilingual communication skills (Kurdish, Arabic, or other languages).
