> Qaiwan International University (QIU) is a private university founded in 2018 in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It is the only franchised university of both Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), delivering internationally recognized Malaysian degrees locally to students in Iraq.

## About QIU

Qaiwan International University was established in 2018 in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, initially as a franchise of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The mission was to give local students access to international Malaysian education without the financial burden of studying abroad. In 2022, QIU expanded its portfolio by adding programs franchised by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), making it the only Iraqi institution franchised by two leading Malaysian universities.
